At the end of Largo dos Frades you will find the Baloico da Paria de Sao Bernardino, a great place to sit with a drink from Por do Sol Sunset Bar and watch the sunset.
Sao Bernardino offers two beaches, Praia de Sao Bernardino on the north side of Largo dos Frades. This secluded beach, offers beach huts rentals a seas side cafe SB Beach Cafe where you can grab a cold drink or or enjoy a meal. The clams are some of our favourites.
Praia dos Frades, located south of Largo dos Frades down the winding stiras and at the bottom of the rocky coastline. At low tide you'll spy many locals fishing for octopus, crab and some fishing. This side of the beach offers some shallow areas and longer stretch of beach for long walks on the beach.
Baleal is a small island located 10 min from Sai Bernardino. This island is separated from the mainland by a tombolo. Due to the natural geography, the peninsula is attractive to surfers and body surfers.
